Swedish Massage

Uses five styles of long, flowing strokes to massage. The five basic strokes are effleurage (sliding or gliding), petrissage (kneading), tapotement (rhythmic tapping), friction (cross fiber) and vibration/shaking. Swedish massage has shown to be helpful in reducing pain, joint stiffness and improving function in patients with osteoarthritis of the knee over a period of eight weeks. It has also been shown to be helpful in individuals with poor circulation. Therapist uses entire hands, the pressure is very light.

Medium Massage

Deeper pressure. Therapist uses knuckles and bony parts of hand. It is relaxes the muscle in deeper levels. This kind is a combination soft relaxing type on the front of the body and deeper on the back and legs.

Deep Tissue Massage

Designed to relieve severe tension in the muscle and the connective tissue or fascia. Therapist uses knuckles and elbow to get to the deepest level of muscle fibers.

This type is often recommended for individuals who experience consistent pain, are involved in heavy physical activity (such as athletes), and patients who have sustained physical injury. It is not uncommon for receivers of deep tissue to have their pain replaced with a new muscle ache for a day or two.

Aromatherapy

A form of alternative medicine that uses volatile plant materials, known as essential oils, and other aromatic compounds for the purpose of altering a person’s mind, mood, cognitive function or health.

It is a combination of medium massage on the back of the body and soft relaxing massage on the front of the body. 6 different essential oils of client’s choosing are placed on the shakras points.

Craniosacral Therapy

Also called CST, involves the therapists placing their hands on the patients head, which allows them to tune into what they call the craniosacral rhythm. The practitioner claims to gently works with the spine and the skull and its cranial sutures, diaphragms and fascia. In this way, the restrictions of spinal cord is said to be optimized and misaligned bones are said to be restored to their proper position. It is used to treat mental stress, neck and back pain, migraines, TMJ Syndrome and for chronic pain conditions such as fibromyalgia.

Cupping Style Massage

Cupping therapy is one of the oldest natural healing therapies in the world, and was a very popular therapy for more than 2500 years. Cupping therapy was used by all civilizations around the world, including the Ancient Egyptians, Greeks and Chinese. It is one of the corner stone’s of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Oil is apply on the back of the body and suctioned cup attached to the skin. First the cup is being freed from air, then the rim of the cup is applied to the skin forming an air-tight seal   Cup under the suction is then moved all over the back and legs. This creates space in between skin and muscle. That in turn creates place for healing and repairs of any damage and toxin accumulations..

Korean Massage

This is a combination of walking on the back, buttocks and legs by the therapist on top of the client and soft, relaxing massage on the front. This is a very good way of loosing out very tight muscles in the areas mentions above. Extra care is taking with bony areas of the back and legs.

Hot Rock Massage

Hot stone massage is a specialty massage where the therapist uses smooth, heated stones to relax and work the muscles. Rocks are used by a therapist  as  an extension of her own hands. The heat can be both deeply relaxing and help warm up tight muscles so the therapist can work more deeply, more quickly.

A tiny thin metallic needles are placed in different parts of the body to promote balance. They stay in the body about 20 minutes. They are sterile and only used one times. Acupuncture treats any problem starting from physical like a lower back pain to mental like depression or sadness.
